American Eagle Penny Rug Digital Quilt Pattern
Enjoy the American Eagle Penny Rug from Fons & PorterStars and Stripes Sampler book. We used the eagle from our sampler quilt for this charming wool table rug. In the nineteenth century a "rug" was an item to display on a table, bed, or dresser. Floor covering was called "carpet". We hand blanket stitched our motif to the background using pearl cotton.
